My story

I have been a single mom for almost 19 years. Some of those years I was technically married, but the day-to-day reality was the same. Four kids, mostly on my own, figuring it out one day at a time.

I spent years in direct sales, and I had real success. I ranked high, earned well, and built teams. But life has a way of throwing things at you faster than you can catch them. Relationships that did not work out, companies that closed, a cross-country move that fell apart, and a season that brought me to my knees financially.

Right now I am carrying over $155,000 in debt. I do not say that to shock you. I say it because I know I am not alone. A lot of single moms are quietly carrying that same weight and wondering how to get out. I am still in it. But I am working my way out, one intentional step at a time.

In 2023 when I moved back to Vermont, all I had was a piece of land and an RV. So I started building a house on that land, largely by myself, because it was the only option I could afford and because I genuinely love working with my hands. That house is the one asset I can leave my kids someday. That matters more to me than I can put into words. It's also the reason behind the debt, as anyone who builds something will tell you, it always takes twice as long, and costs three times as much.

Why A Faith Filled Life exists

A Faith Filled Life started in July 2025, born out of necessity and a little bit of curiosity. I saw someone making magnets online and thought it looked fun. I ordered the machines, waited seven months for one of them to arrive, and got to work.

From there, everything grew organically out of my own life. I wrote the Single Mom Survival Guide because I had been carrying that message for eight years and the Holy Spirit made it very clear it was time to put it out into the world. I launched the budgeting tools because I went back to cash budgeting in January 2026 and it was working, and I knew I could make faith-based tools that would help other moms do the same. The soap came from a homeschool class I took with one of my kids, and we got completely hooked.

Every single thing in this shop connects back to one mission: sharing real tools for women who are rebuilding their homes, finances, and faith. That is it. That is the whole mission.

What I make by hand

About 90% of what you find in this shop is handmade by me. I love working with my hands. It is one of the things that keeps me grounded.

Faith is not an add-on here

Faith is the reason I am still standing.

There have been multiple seasons in the last 19 years that I genuinely do not know how I made it through without faith. High stress, financial pressure, starting over more than once. Faith is what kept me from quitting. It still does.

I am not perfect at this. I do not always spend as much time in the Word as I would like. But I know God is working all things for my good, and I hold onto that on the hard days. I have a church family here locally that has been one of the greatest gifts of this season. And I still sing worship music while I am building the house or making soap.

Scripture shows up in everything I make because it is part of everything I am. That is not a brand strategy. It is just the truth.

What my days actually look like

Honest answer: variable. I homeschool my two younger kids, so our mornings usually start there. I try to get into the Word as often as I can, even if it's just listening to a message. I touch the business in some way every single day, whether that is making a video, packing an order, working on the shop, or making soap.

I am currently dealing with some physical issues that have slowed down the house build, so right now my days are a mix of working on the house when I can, healing, homeschooling, creating content, crafting items for the shop, and enjoying the Vermont summer with my kids. I am not going to pretend I have it all figured out. I don't. But it is real, and it is mine, and I would not trade it.
